# Gabbani Tech

> Gabbani Tech is a Lugano (Switzerland) startup building real-time retail technology for shops, delis and restaurants. It turns the checkout counter into a live feed, plans staff around the weather, and accepts crypto payments. Born from the Gabbani name, a Lugano institution serving the city since 1937.

## What Gabbani Tech does

- **Real-time checkout**: every paid sale reaches the management dashboard the instant it happens, with the product name, exact weight (to the gram), amount, till and branch. No end-of-day export.
- **Weather-smart staffing**: reads the local weather forecast and proposes shift plans automatically (more staff on a sunny terrace day, fewer in the rain). Owners can also plan reduced hours or free days, let staff pick days on a calendar, and set rules such as "everyone gets one free Sunday". Every plan is a draft the owner approves.
- **Crypto payments**: customers can pay in MyLuga (LVGA), Bitcoin (BTC) or Tether (USDT) at the till. Payments are routed and settled by Open CryptoPay, a product of DFX AG. Merchants are quoted and recorded in Swiss francs.
